Catherine Bolduc
Catherine Bolduc est une artiste en arts visuels née au Québec (Canada) en 1970. Elle vit et travaille à Montréal. Elle a à son actif de nombreuses expositions individuelles et expositions de groupe, au Canada comme à l'étranger (Japon, Allemagne, Espagne, France, Pays-Bas, États-Unis). Elle a séjourné à quelques reprises en résidence d'artiste à l'étranger, notamment au prestigieux Künstlerhaus Bethanien à Berlin, au Studio du Québec à Tokyo et, dans le cadre des Pépinières européennes pour jeunes artistes, à la National Sculpture Factory à Cork en Irlande. Elle a reçu de plusieurs prix dont la Bourse Duchamp-Villon en 2001, le prix Meilleure publication au Gala des arts visuels d’AGAC en 2012 et le Prix Powerhouse en 2013, ainsi que de nombreuses bourses de recherche (Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec et Conseil des arts du Canada). Ses œuvres se retrouvent dans d’importantes collections muséales et d’entreprises, et sa sixième œuvre d'art publique permanente sera inaugurée au cours de l'année 2018.
Catherine Bolduc (born in Quebec, 1970) is an artist living and working in Montreal. She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Canada and abroad (Japan, Germany, Spain, France, Netherlands, United States). She has taken part in several artist residencies abroad, including the prestigious Künstlerhaus Bethanien in Berlin, the Studio du Québec à Tokyo and the European Studio-Apartments for Young Artists at the National Sculpture Factory in Cork, Ireland. She has received numerous awards, including the Bourse Duchamp-Villon in 2001, Best Publication at AGAC’s 2012 Gala des arts visuels, and the Powerhouse Prize in 2013. She also has received many research grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and Quebec Council for the Arts. Her works can be found in important museum and corporate collections, and her sixth permanent public sculpture will be inaugurated in 2018.
